Who are we?
Great that you are taking the time to visit our site to see what we are all about. We are the Hoeksema family and we live in Drenthe, a northern province of the Netherlands.. Drenthe is the home and origin of our beloved Dutch Partridge Dog. Breeding these beautiful dogs is our passion.
Our family that is: Froukje and Jaap Hoeksema and our children Esther, Peter and Judith.
Since 1980 we have been breeding Dutch Partridge Dogs, called 'Drentsche Patrijs honden' in Dutch. This under the pedigree’s name ‘fan‘t Suydefelt’. We have litters on a regular basis. Our dogs are known for their gentle, kind and open characters. We strive to keep it that way through strict selection and thorough knowledge of this breed.

As a breeder it is sometimes difficult to be on the same wavelength with others; we do things our own way without trying to be cocky. Gossip and backstabbing we hate, people will be talking no matter what.
We are, naturally, members of the Dutch Partridge Dog Kennel Club organisation. We make no concessions that would implicate health or character! We value good contacts with the buyers of our dogs, now and later. If you are interested in getting a puppy you are welcome to contact us any time via phone (number see below) or via email. Through this fantastic hobby we have made many friends, also internationally. It is great to share and promote our passion with other dog lovers.

In 1992 we began our boarding kennel. Since then many clients in the Netherlands and abroad have found their way to our place. For us this is an indication that we are not doing too badly.
Maybe we will meet someday at a showing? We visit dog shows regularly, certainly in the Netherlands but we also travel to Germany and Denmark. We have sold dogs all over the world.
