August 2009: We made a big wish come true by buying a beautyful house in the north of Sweden in Lund Fors, in the province ‘Västerbotten’, not far from Lapland.
A beautiful and very quiet location with over an acre of land and a private hunting ground of about 1700 Ha.
Also due to our friend Eivor Iversen from Piteå , Northern Sweden, we could realize all of this. With her help arranging appointments with authorities was quit simple.
Beautifully maintained and in the original color of the country. Here we retire when we want to. We can hunt and fish to your heart’s content with our dogs. A salmon and trout river is approximately 250 m away from our house.
One day before this picture was taken, there was a brown bear spotted in our garden, magnificent! What a world!
Here is a part of our plot behind the house. Completely back you see what forest also belongs. Here is the brown bear seen ws. has his / her domicile in this forest area. We’ll see.
Something different than a squirrel in the garden.
Before we could to Sweden to arrange everything, had in the Netherlands still eea arranged. Our children also had our work to do and we had to book a flight. Not easy in the short term. But it worked!
Bo took us back to the airport that evening. From there our trip went to Lulea, where Eivor picked us up in the middle of the night.
